Our Purpose and Vision
Grace Memorial Episcopal Church is a parish for all people located in the heart of the city of Portland.
Purpose
Following in the way of Jesus we seek to effect transformational change in individuals, in our Portland neighborhoods, and in other communities near and far. To do this we will engage our spiritual, human and financial resources in creative partnerships with people and organizations to further God's work in our world.

Goal 3: Establish Grace as a vital center of community in Portland
Goal 4: Inspire and engage everyone we touch in the experience of love of neighbor in Portland and around the world.
Vision
Grace's vision is of a community centered in common worship where we:
- Proclaim God's unconditional love by word and deed
- Help people find wholeness, strength and healing
- Foster and deepen personal spiritual practices
- Call forth and nurture leaders
- Honor children and youth as full members of the community
- Embrace diversity within the Grace community and affirm our commitment to reconciliation in the city and in the world
- Welcome, engage, and empower persons new to the community
- Reflect our distinctive values in the design and evolving shape of the parish campus
- Support all members of the community to discern, develop, and celebrate their callings
- Carry out the mission of the parish by using the gifts and vocational ministries of our members
